Mom and Dad's Lamps!

So I grew up seeing these lamps on my parent's bed side tables. Moving from their Master bedroom upstairs to the giant Master Bedroom down stairs! I loved the raised flowers on the front. I was shocked when my mom was trying to sell them at their garage sale.

Instead I inherited them and revamped them!
I covered the base of the vase with plastic bags while I sprayed the tops with metallic nickel spray!
I then pulled the bag over the tops. I started by spraying a light layer on the bottoms. It took several layers. Because it is porcelain the spray paint dripped if I sprayed it on to thick. But multiple light layers turned out beautiful!
They look fabulous in our bedroom!
I am still looking for white lamp shades to go on the top!

I am so excited and nervous to put together. They look pretty easy but I want to dry and modge podge some paper onto the wood so we'll see.

Crafty Girls!

MARCH Crafts
So a few of my MG girls friends have gotten into making crafts for your house! So I decided I would join in the fun. I went to Wood Connection and bought some really cute wood crafts for St. Patricks day. I made the Lucky sign prior to the craft party night and it turned out really cute! I am so excited to go get a SPRING sign and make to have up for April and May. Here are the two projects I have been working on. They turned out pretty cute.a

This one is still drying. 12 hours later! The glue I used for the sparkles is not the best for glitter!

The final finished project. Still slightly wet!
